Benjamin Pure: When Did You Last Service Your Car?

Does your car need servicing? There are several reputable car dealers online that also provide car servicing. Usually, there are three types of car service, says Benjamin Pure, one of the leading service providers in America.

First kind

In the first kind, the service person changes your car’s engine oil. You must do this at regular intervals. Your car dealer or service center technician will tell when you car needs a change of oil next. As a general rule, you must change your vehicle’s engine oil after every 10,000 miles.

Ensure that the oil used is of the grade mentioned in the manual of your vehicle. When the service center expert changes your car oil, he or she must also check brake fluid oil, power steering and windscreen wash fluid, and anti freeze coolant. They may also examine the condition of your car’s battery, exhaust emissions, windscreen wipers, headlights, and tire tread and pressure.

Second kind

Your car requires interim service after every 6000 miles. In this service, the expert changes oil, checks all parts, and offers additional services. They check brakes, shock absorbers, steering system, and suspension system of your vehicle. They also conduct “green” test on your car. This is to check your vehicle’s emissions, carbon offset checks, brake efficiency, fuel treatment, and others. According to Benjamin Pure, the service experts might charge extra for “green” test.

Third kind

Your car needs a full service after every 12,000 miles. In this service, apart from oil changes and interim service, the expert also performs wheel alignment test, belt check, wheel bearing check, and check of brake fluid condition.

The fuel filer in case of diesel car is replaced. The expert also replaces air filter and balances the wheels.

Older cars may need more frequent service than brand new ones. When a service center replaces any part of your car, make sure they use original parts. Reputable care dealers use genuine auto parts.

According to Benjamin life Pure, car service is something that you must not postpone. When the time comes for service, you must do it. Ignoring your car’s service needs might decrease its efficiency and lifespan.
